The yearly update of the Tiger Woods series features renowned PGA pros, including Tiger Woods himself, as well as the usual courses and some newer ones, including Gary Player Country Club, Bay Hill Country Club, and Bay Hill Country Club, among many others. Hank Haney, Tiger’s real-life coach, criticizes the players’ performances during the game and provides pointers on how to play.
The game includes the normal modes of Exhibition and Career and the FedEx Cup Championship, in which players can compete. Players can still personalize their golfers in various ways, but now they can customize clubs to their satisfaction. Instead of building up characters’ numbers, the new “Dynamic Skill” system determines their stats based on their performance from game to game.
There is also an online option where four players can play a turn-based or simultaneous online match, participate on EA Sports GamerNet and earn points by completing challenges and tracking their performance on the daily leaderboards.
