Top Spin 2 uses several camera angles to mimic international tennis. There are numerous game modes: Exhibition* – Start a match quickly by picking singles or doubles and assigning each controller.
Party Games – Similar to Mario Power Tennis, these mini-games allow you to play tennis with a twist.
Time Bomb, in which you must not be the first player to hit zero on your countdown timer;
Wall Breaker, in which you must break more of your opponent’s wall than they do of yours;
In Splash Court, you must paint as much of your opponent’s court as possible.*Professional* – The meat of the game; develop a player and see them across multiple seasons. In this mode, you must handle training (either by taking on your coach or playing mini-games that generate skill points that may be assigned to player traits), sponsors, and critical events to finally become the world’s number one.
You may also play against people from around the world via Xbox Live – you can select to play a Ranked Match with your character or a Player Match with no pressure.
Top Spin 2 contains 24 contemporary tennis stars, Venus Williams and Roger Federer, just like the first Top Spin (for the X-Box). Top Spin 2 does, however, include authentic tennis venues such as Rod Laver Arena and Wimbledon.
