Toy Soldiers: Cold War is a prequel to the video game released 2010 under the same name. A conflict between the United States of America and the Soviet Union is the setting for this action and strategy video game. The game uses military equipment from the 1980s and imagines a situation in which the Cold Conflict has intensified. The gameplay is almost entirely identical to the one seen in the original game. Every single skirmish is fought out on a diorama. The game’s objective is for the player to protect specific important sites from invasion by hostile soldiers, boats, airplanes, and vehicles, such as a large tank, a tank with wings, and a Typhoon submarine.
The players can construct various defensive buildings, such as anti-aircraft or anti-tank weapons. The player has complete control over all the defensive structures available. Tanks and helicopters can also be utilized from a third-person perspective, provided these vehicles are available. In contrast to the earlier game, this one can only be played for a limited time because the power inside the toys will run out after a predetermined time. The ability to call in airstrikes or take control of a commando is one of the rewards for achieving a kill streak.
