UFC Undisputed 3 is an MMA fighting game based on a real-life sport that features licensed combatants from the UFC and the (now-defunct) PRIDE organizations. It is the sequel to UFC Undisputed 2010 and the series’ third main game.

Players build a personalized character in the primary Career mode and advance through training sessions and matches to become famous. From the main screen, you may schedule fights, train or camp, create a game plan, read news, and track the rankings. Specific abilities or traits can be practiced and improved during the various training sessions. General information, one of the seven weight classes (the four main statistics being strength, speed, cardio, and footwork), physical attractiveness, and martial arts background is used to determine characters. Boxing, karate, muay thai, kickboxing, wrestling, judo, sambo, jiu-jitsu, and mma are examples of the latter. Fighting is separated into three stances: upright, clinch, and ground, each with its skills and moves. “Fight purse cred” is earned by winning matches. This cash can be used to enroll in camps where new activities can be taught. Fights usually conclude when one of the participants is on the ground and no longer has the strength to defend himself, and the referee steps in.

Title Mode, Defense, and Ultimate Fights have all returned, in addition to the new Pride mode. Pride features variable round timings (the first is 10 minutes long, for example) and includes several moves not permitted in the UFC, such as head stomps and kicking an opponent while he is down. In Pride, a Grand Prix also features numerous matches in a single night that carry over the damage. The ability to choose between Amateur and Pro grappling controls has made the game more accessible. The first facilitates ground transitions for new players. The other novelties and changes include a new submission and stamina system, fighter entrances, damage recovery between rounds, and various new and adjusted moves.

The game supports both local and online multiplayer. Additional fighters are available via DLC and an entire season pass to mix the various releases. FMV clips with battle scenes and interviews with real soldiers are presented during the menus and combat.
