The aquatic alien race Elect flees its oppressors and loads all of its people onto the Ark, a massive spaceship. They decide to make Earth their new home planet and conduct a covert attack that melts the polar caps, submerging the world in water. Three distinct organizations band together to combat the aliens and regain the planet. The Iron Marines are a group of humans who use tiny technology to fight back. The Nemodian race is the second group. This crew, led by Captain Nemo, has been living in a truce with the humans at the bottom of the ocean for over a hundred years. The Atlantians are the last survivors of Atlantis’ once-powerful civilization, who were trapped throughout the last ice age until the polar caps collapsed.
All of the action takes place underwater, as stated in the premise. The single-player section comprises 15 missions for one or two people in co-op mode, including cutscenes. In this fast-paced shooter, players command miniature vessels that engage various opponents. Each race has its own set of ships, upgrades, and power-ups, some of which must be unlocked by accumulating points, defeating adversaries, or achieving team goals.
Up to sixteen people can compete online or by system link in the vs. mode.
