The player assumes the role of Skarin, a Norse warrior who Freya enlisted, the Norse goddess of war, in the video game Viking: Battle for Asgard. He is the champion selected to combat the goddess Hel, the daughter of the Norse god Loki, who is the god of mischief. She had been exiled from Asgard, the kingdom of the gods, since she disobeyed Odin’s decree and intended to unleash Fenrir, a wolf god rumored to bring about Ragnarok.
