The first episode of Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures is Wallace & Gromit in Fright of the Bumblebees.
Wallace created a quick and easy way to extract honey from bees and began a honey business with the help of his dog Gromit. Customers are scarce, and the costs mount until Mr. Paneer arrives and orders 50 gallons of honey – by evening. Wallace accepts the offer but immediately realizes that he doesn’t have enough flowers to generate that much honey in just a few hours.
The player assumes control of Wallace and Gromit but cannot freely switch between them. Instead, the story determines which characters are controllable. Although the game is a typical point-and-click adventure, the controls have been tuned to function on PC and consoles. While interaction with elements on the screen is still done via a context-sensitive pointer, the player moves the characters directly rather than making them move to orders.
Aside from that, the player still roams the various locales, talks to people, and gathers anything that isn’t nailed to the wall to solve the numerous mysteries and advance the storyline. Before continuing the quest, the player must shoot down and trap some angry bees in a little Moorhuhn-style mini-game.
