INTRODUCTION

So you just helped save the President, and now you’re wondering what’s next on your heroic to-do list? If you’re Tanner, the protagonist of “Driver: Renegade 3D” for the 3DS, you get so fed up with crooked police that you hand in your NYPD badge. A job rejection from Oak Lions Security follows a high-speed chase, a rescued Senator, and a new mission to clean up the Big Apple—one car chase at a time.

NEW JOB, NEW GOALS

After saving the President, Tanner’s next move was as unpredictable as a New York taxi driver cutting you off in traffic. Disillusioned with the corruption within the NYPD, he decided it was time to steer his life in a new direction (see what I did there?). Tanner applied for a role at Oak Lions Security but got rejected faster than you can say “parallel park.” But Tanner’s one to make lemonade out of lemons—or, in this case, to make heroics out of kidnappings. When a kidnapping unraveled in the city, our man Tanner revved up his engine and swooped in, catching the kidnapper and saving New York Senator Andrew Ballard.

THE SENATOR’S PROPOSITION

Imagine saving a Senator who then turns around and says, “Hey, wanna help me clean up New York?” That’s precisely what happened to Tanner. Andrew Ballard, relieved and grateful, propositioned Tanner with a whole new mission to sanitize NYC. This time, Tanner wouldn’t just be saving one person; he’d be chasing down and neutralizing the leaders of entire criminal organizations. Oh, and forget about using knives or guns—Tanner only needs a car.

CAR MANIA: CHOOSE YOUR RIDE

Speaking of cars, “Driver: Renegade 3D” puts you in the driver’s seat of up to 50 different vehicles. It’s like being a kid in a candy store, except the candy can go zero to 60 in seconds and has a V8 engine. And for those who like to customize your ride, you’re lucky: the game also has a garage where you can upgrade your cars. From horsepower to paint job, you get to trick out your ride just how you want it.

80 MISSIONS OF ADRENALINE-PUMPING ACTION

If you thought 50 cars were overwhelming, just wait to hear about the 80 missions you can undertake. The game layers each mission with comic book-style cutscenes that do more than just add dramatic flair. They’re like the cherry on top of your high-speed sundae, making the entire experience more cinematic and engaging. You’ll find yourself immersed in a world that feels like a blend of an action-packed movie and a gritty comic book.

MORE THAN JUST A STORY MODE

Now, I know what you’re thinking: “Eighty missions? That’s a lot!” But hold your horsepower; that’s not all, folks. In addition to the primary story mode, “Driver: Renegade 3D” offers other challenging methods that’ll keep you revved for more. We’re talking Time Attack, Elimination Mode, and Road War. So even when you think you’ve eradicated all the criminal scum from NYC, there’s always another lap to run, another race to win, and another high score to beat.

So whether you’re a gearhead or just someone who enjoys a gripping storyline, “Driver: Renegade 3D” has something for everyone. It offers you the perfect blend of driving and drama while letting you become the hero New York didn’t know it needed. Buckle up, folks—it’s going to be a wild ride!
