The game follows the core gameplay from the first game. Therefore, you can find puzzle mechanics in city buildings. The game board contains various items, but players must clear items on blue tiles. This winning condition is easy, and they try to match three identical items. From there, they can create some changes in the play area. The time limit adds pressure, while blue tiles need special attention to complete levels. At the same time, the main mode spans 100 levels across 5 time periods. New items and resources can be earned when you progress. From there, they help transform a village into an empire, and blueprint cards come from matching mini-games.
