A relatively simple modification, made possible by Laser Crusader’s Action Replay code, sought to optimize nearly every aspect of the game to support a first-person viewpoint.
In other words, this hack turns Luigi’s Mansion into a fully playable game from the perspective of the game’s title character, the green plumber, making it more akin to an FPS with frequent, up-close encounters with the dead and ongoing, tense battles with ghostly minions who gleefully plot your demise.
Having said that, other than changing the camera to first-person and adjusting a few things to fit that perspective, such as the cutscenes (most of them), this hack doesn’t really change the game in any significant way.
