SSX Tricky

After the success of SSX, Electronic Arts released SSX Tricky. Using a player’s personality traits contributes significantly more significant narrative development than in the first game. Characters with characteristics opposed to one another are more likely to engage in combative behavior toward one another during competitions like races. The addition of the übertrick system brings an entirely new dimension to the gameplay. These are more complex tricks to pull off, but they will give you a nice boost in performance. After completing six übertricks in a row, you will be rewarded with a more significant increase, and the song “It’s Tricky” by Run DMC will begin to play. This achievement is known as a super übertrick.

Seven of the tracks from the original album are included here, along with two brand-new tracks each from Garibaldi and Alaska. The returning tracks may have up to four times as many shortcuts and hidden lines as the original paths. Six of the original eight riders are back for the new season (Jurgen and Hiro both suffered injuries during the off-season), and six fresh faces join them. Mix Master Mike, Aphrodite, and the Plump DJs will contribute their original mixes to the soundtrack. A “making of” segment and “behind-the-scenes” footage are included as bonuses, much like they would be on a DVD.
