Tiger Woods returns to the series for another round of golf in this edition. The most notable addition to this version is EA’s Game Face, which allows you to customize the players’ physical appearance. You have the fundamentals, such as hair, skin, facial hair, and other general impressions. Still, Game Face allows you to customize everything, including teeth shape, logos, tattoos, headbands, hats, and more. Individual body mass, muscle tone, midsection, arms, and legs can all be altered. You can also select specific swing animations, post-putt and celebration animations, and “pissed off” animations for when you make a triple bogey.

World Tour is a new mode that puts you through a standard 52-week PGA tour to earn money, sponsorships, and better gear. You can play for as many as twenty seasons. Another new game mode is Battle Golf, in which you can win an opponent’s clubs by defeating them. Other standard game modes are present, such as Skill Challenge, Speed Golf, and Skins Match and Practice.

The game’s ability to read your console’s internal clock and provide you with game modes is a new feature. If it’s near the end of October and your clock is set correctly, you might be invited to a Halloween event where you can win event-specific prizes.

You can play as (or against) top PGA players, including Vijay Singh and Justin Leonard. Newcomers to the sport, such as John Daly, have also been added.

Most of the 2003 courses have survived, along with seven new natural and fantasy techniques. Bethpage Black, a challenging period in Washington, is one of the new courses.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004, like all other 2004 EA Sports console games, includes the EA Sports Bio, which tracks your achievements and games across all EA Sports titles. The more EA Sports games you play and the longer you play them, the higher your EA Gamer Level and the more rewards you unlock, such as a new driver in Tiger Woods or historic teams in NHL 2004. This feature is not available on the PC version.

Customers who purchase the PlayStation 2 version can play online using EA’s matchmaking service. The Xbox and GameCube versions cannot be used to play online.

If you purchase the GameCube version, you can connect the GameBoy Advance to the GameCube to access special rewards unavailable through regular play.
