Don Camilo is the creator of the well-known ROM hack Mariof Time. This hack is a complete port of levels from the demo, hence the pun in the title, and is based on his Zelda Ocarina of Time ROM Hack: “Master of Time.” It is yet another open-world game of the same genre as Super Mario Fantasy 64 and is comparable to the hack of Super Mario 64: Ocarina of Time.
It has 154 stars, more than 15 new levels, and features borrowed from several Don Camilo hacks and Ocarina of Time. Although the end is unclear and concludes with a death scene in an empty pit covered in spikes like its OoT counterpart, the hack is reportedly left as an unfinished demo because the creator is focused on finishing Master of Time.
Although there is a requirement with the power-up caps to access in areas since the very first part of the game, all the courses resemble and progress like in Ocarina of Time. As a result, the player is free to proceed however it pleases.
