Ganbare Goemon: Neo Momoyama Bakufu no Odori, also known as Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon is one of the major versions of the Goemon series. This version has an action-adventure game and only focuses on developing one-player mode, suitable for those who want to explore new lands on their own. This version for Nintendo 64 was developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Osaka and was brought into the game market by Konami itself.
The background of the game takes place in the town of Oedo. Once, when Goemon and Ebisumaru were walking like usual, something unusual happened. A UFO shaped like a peach is floating in the sky towards Oedo castle. That strange UFO then exerted a laser force on the castle. Not knowing what happened, the two characters decided to ask Princess Yuki and Lord. After meeting an impolite guy believed to be from the Peach Mountain Shoguns organization, which is also the crew of the villains in the story, they are revealed that UFOs have turned the princess’s house into a stage to serving their singing conspiracy. The next goal they come up with is to make all the people here become their fans.
After entering the game, to stop that evil plot, you will have to transform into Goemon, the funny protagonist guy with a pipe weapon. Go find Wise Man to seek help. Along the way, players will need to destroy enemies that are mostly robots by using the available tactics. Initially, these enemies will be quite weak so you only need to apply a small force, which will be enough to destroy them. In addition, you can also have one of the other three main characters being Ebisumaru (available, the main weapon is a mallet), Yea (the main weapon is a katana), or Sasuke (with Kunai).
