An important ROM hack for the BroDute-made original Night of Doom, Night of Doom: The Green Comet was created by StanFuzz and Focus_SR.
The main differences between this game and the previous one are that it has a different plot, 152 hidden green stars, no red coins, and more than 6 new hidden stars spread across both Bowser and side levels. Although the techniques for collecting the green stars are more difficult and serious, the game is still just as difficult as the original. The game implies that the world is in a never-ending nightmare loop, so unlike other hacks in the Green Comet line like Star Road, enemies are not removed.
To make the game a little bit simpler to play, it also includes quality of life features like rotary parallel cam and infinite lives.
