In comparison to the original, Super Mario 64 Land is a ROM hack of Super Mario 64 that focuses on more linearly designed levels with a wider variety of themes. Every power-up in Super Mario 64: Last Impact as well as the two main power-ups from Super Mario 3D Land and World (the super leaf and the super bell) were planned to be included in the hack. The hack has 130 stars spread across eight worlds, with 5–6 playable levels in each world.
