Super Mario 64 Kampel125 released the 2013 ROM hack The Green Stars. The Green Stars is a hack that feels like Super Mario 64 and features 130 stars across 15 new levels and 7 secret levels. It offers many interesting and well-designed challenges. The Green Stars, though less popular than Star Road, is a great game for ROM hack beginners. The game is a sequel to Super Mario 64 and references Super Mario Galaxy. Bowser stole the stars again to create a monster army and kidnap Princess Peach. The Toads built a rocket to take Mario to Bowser, but Bowser locked it before Mario arrive, making it the game’s first key-door. The ending cutscene is the same as the original game, with minor changes. Kaze Emanuar, Frauber, and VL-Tone also hacked and helped. No relation to Super Mario 64: The Green Comet.
