The game begins with a Toad telling Mario that Bowser has captured Peach again. Mario must again collect enough Stars to defeat Bowser. Mario must defeat Bowser’s Airship Armada again, only to discover his Space Fleet. After defeating him at both bases, he retreats to his Star Factory for the final battle.
Midoji (Sanji02) created Super Mario New Star ROM Hack. It has 140 stars and was released in February 2014. This hack adds many well-made levels, new themes, and unique levels like a large bedroom, Cube City, and more.
In the game, Bowser kidnaps Princess Peach and hides her in an unnamed tower. Mario starts his adventure in front of it. Tall tan walls surround the castle in a grassy ditch. Mario can enter the first courses in two rock alcoves around the castle. Some Toads live there too. Mario can reach Bowser behind the tower with enough Stars. Only after the first Bowser level is the interior door unlocked. Mario gets warped to the tower’s top after defeating Bowser for the third and final time, where two Toads congratulate him.
