The sequel to the 2005 Nintendo DS game Trace Memory is Another Code: R – A Journey through Lost Memories. The events take place two years after the events in the first game. Ashley, the protagonist, has finally met her father. Even now, he appears to be more concerned with his work than with his kid. He rarely returns home on weekends, leaving Ashley in the care of his sister, Jessica.
Ashley receives a phone call from her father. He invites her to come to Juliet Lake to spend time together and camp there. But when Ashley reaches Juliet Lake, the truth appears to be different: her suitcase is stolen, and she has the impression that she was here long ago…
While the game is in 3D, it is primarily played in 2D during maneuvers, and the camera is on Ashley’s shoulders when inspecting a location. The Wiimote and conversation are used to solve puzzles in this game. Because you are in charge of an investigation, you can photograph whatever aspect you want to aid you later or use it as evidence. However, because the game is linear, all of these actions must be performed in the correct (and usually obvious) order.
