Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? : Game Time is the sequel to the popular game show. The game is called Make the Grade, and it is modeled after the concept of the television show of the same name, in which competitors compete to demonstrate that they are smarter than fifth graders. The players are given a series of questions to answer, and they must choose a partner who is also in the fifth grade to have someone to rely on if they get stuck. The questions are organized into subheadings corresponding to rates ranging from first to fifth. There is a multiple-choice option for each question leading up to the final exam, and there are also bonus questions and other games. It is always necessary to provide a detailed response when asked the last question, making the exercise somewhat more complex.
In addition to the standard game modes, which have conversations interwoven between each question, there is also a challenge called “Homeroom” that may be played with many players simultaneously. In the game Battle of Wits, the questions are posed rapidly and in rapid succession, and players can gain bonuses to undermine the performance of other players. When playing Three and Out, players must buzz in as quickly as possible, and the game ends when three wrong responses have been given.
