Blast Works is a cross between a side-scrolling shooter and Katamari Damacy. The game’s primary goal is to destroy as many adversaries as possible while collecting their pieces to build onto your ship to make it more powerful.
There includes a primary campaign mode with over 15 different missions and a Marathon mode that allows players to play nonstop. There is also a level builder and a ship editor, enabling users to design their levels with as many or as few adversaries as they want, as well as their ships, unique weaponry, and bullet dispersion pattern.
It can accommodate up to four players simultaneously, and players can go online to swap ships and levels and show off their high scores. It can be played with the Wii remote, Nunchuk, and standard controller. Once completed, players can unlock TUMIKI Fighters, which inspired the game and where most of the game elements are drawn from.
