CID: The Dummy

CID The Dummy is a platform game in which, as the name of the game suggests, the player takes control of a crash test dummy. Cid was bestowed with exceptional abilities by the machine’s creator, Professor Werken, and now finds himself tasked with rescuing the professor’s daughter. Like Super Mario Galaxy, the gameplay only exists in a two-dimensional plane, but the action is displayed in three dimensions. Cid will face adversaries and puzzles, sometimes known as challenges of a mental character, throughout each level. These challenges may include evading the view of surveillance cameras or hitting a specific button when prompted. Cid’s combat capabilities include a standard attack and approximately 10 special techniques in addition to this. Each special episode is associated with a gesture that must be executed with the Wii Remote, and tutorials are available to help players become accustomed to these gestures.
