Madden NFL 10 is the 2009 installment of the Madden NFL franchise, the officially licensed game of the NFL. As with all recent previous installments in the series, the game was released for all major console platforms.
The Wii version of the game introduces a new accentuated ‘cartoony’ visual style exclusive to the Wii. It also introduces several new game modes and other enhancements, including a new tournament-style way called ‘Madden Showdown’ which encourages players to bet on the outcome of individual matchups, a new cooperative ‘Season Mode,’ and a new passing control system that allows players to pass the ball by using the Wii Remote to point at the receiver that they wish to pass the ball to. Another addition, ‘Spotlight Moments,’ focuses the camera on pivotal moments in the game and slows down time to allow the player to affect the outcome in various ways.
