There is a Star Wand up in Star Haven that allows the stars to grant wishes to people with pure hearts. The Seven Star Spirits keep an eye on the Star Wand and guard it in its sanctuary. On the other hand, Bowser raids Star Haven snatches the Star Wand, and imprisons the Star Spirits so they cannot contest his dominance. Bowser overcomes Mario and raises Princess Peach’s castle into the air, imprisoning her and all of her guests. The only way to stand up to Bowser’s unchecked power is to free all seven Star Spirits imprisoned around the land.
The sequel to Super Mario RPG: Legend Of The Seven Stars is Paper Mario. This is essentially an RPG set in the Mario universe. By conquering foes and bosses, Mario can acquire experience and level up, and Mario can also recruit buddies to assist him in turn-based battles. Mario can also gather badges to improve his battle abilities, star pieces to trade for badges, and other stuff to utilize throughout the game. The Star Spirits will also aid his mission.
All of the characters in the game are 2D, but they exist in an entirely 3D setting. Each character appears to be made of “paper” in this manner.
