Rubik’s Puzzle Galaxy: RUSH is a puzzle game in which you must manage the flow of rolling cubes to get them to their goal. Each puzzle is built on a floating platform of bricks with higher parts. Different colored squares indicate which way the cubes will roll. The player’s purpose is to place signs on the playfield to control the movement of the cubes, preventing them from colliding or disappearing. The cubes flow independently, and the player has no control over them once the process begins. Roll a cube into a square of the same color to make it disappear.

Players have limited signs at their disposal for each of the 70 levels. When a cube rolls over a directional cue (arrow), it moves in the opposite direction, split symbols send it left and right, and warp points take it to a new position. The conveyor sign is the final type, and it is comparable to a directional sign in that it transports the cube rather than changing its orientation. When cubes hit a wall, they automatically turn right and continue rolling. After placing all the signs (with no time constraint), the player begins the sequence to test it. Each level has a limitless amount of retries.

The 70 puzzles are separated into three difficulty levels (the more complex are initially locked) and a bonus planet. Players can select from various tasks for each group, skipping difficult ones, for example, and completing one unlocks other environments on the main map. The camera can be freely rotated in any direction while installing the placards. There are just so many hints. After placing the signs, press the hint button, and a green or red overlay indicates whether they are accurate. Squares that need a sign but don’t have one are denoted by white lines. The signage is placed using a drag-and-drop mechanism.

The Wii version includes an extra mode and recalls the renowned Hungarian Rubik’s Cube puzzle. Players can try to solve one of the four accessible cubes, each of which has a different size, or learn how to solve a traditional Rubik’s Cube.
