Scooby-Doo! First Frights is a first-person action platform game in which the player assumes the role of Mystery, Inc. during several of its early cases. The band of friends investigates several creepy locations, including Rocky Bay, Keystone Castle, and others. The player fends against terrifying creatures while solving puzzles and gathering clues. After gathering evidence, the player can select the suspect they believe is responsible for each episode. If your guess is correct, you will receive an additional bonus item.
Players can join and leave a joint game session whenever they like. Additionally, dozens of content items may be unlocked within the game, such as trophies and character outfits that confer special abilities. Unlockables include more than twenty different villains and costumes to choose from.
Play through any of the game’s four distinct episodes, each culminating in a showdown against a powerful boss character. They consist of over 20 different levels spread across a wider variety of settings, such as a haunted high school, crazy fun house, eerie castle, and spooky woodland.
The game offers players a choice between two distinct gameplay types. “Story Mode” allows the player to choose one of several characters to control while progressing through the game’s primary narrative. In “Explore Mode,” players can go to any level that thee previously completed and play as any character that has been unlocked to find different hidden objects.
