In the immediate aftermath of the events of episode 4, Strong Bad crashes into the Trogdor arcade machine, reawakening the Trogdor itself and causing it to struggle for independence. Strong Bad is on a mission of vengeance after Trogdor slaughtered all of the citizens of Strong Badia. Strong Bad must play through the worlds of many Videlectrix games to hack into the Videlectrix mainframe. Some of these games include “Spirit of ’76,” “Peasantry,” and “Stinkoman 20×6.”
The classic point-and-click adventures for 3D engines model the user interface and gameplay. The player can control Strong Bad by pointing and clicking on the screen with either the mouse or the Wii Remote. The game does not have mini-games as an optional side quest like the previous episodes; instead, they are integrated into the game’s main storyline and can be played again after the main storyline has been finished.
An episodic series starring the characters from HomestarRunner.com has concluded with this, the fifth and final game of the season.
