The adventures of Sparrow Wing Jr. and his companions are chronicled on Wing Island, taking place on a network of islands inhabited by large, anthropomorphic birds.
The obstacles they encounter include timed freight deliveries, obstacle courses, races, and stunts for single and multiple aircraft formations. Other trials include wingsuit flying and acrobatics. The game also features a variety of minigames that may be played in multiplayer mode.
The sole means of controlling the aircraft is the Wiimote, which enables players to perform maneuvers such as barrel rolls and fast turns without needing to touch other buttons.
