Burnout 3: Takedown is a racing game that emphasizes aggressive driving and allows you to smash your way to the finish line by taking out your opponents and generating large multi-car pileups. The more cars you destroy and damage you cause, the more events and automobiles you can unlock. Burnout 3 also has a “crash” game that pits your vehicle against various moving cars and pickups to see how much monetary damage you can inflict.
Burnout 3: Takedown expands on the racing franchise with new cars, tracks, a more detailed crash engine, and a slew of new gameplay modes for single players, multiple players on one system, and online play.
Among the features are:
Crash Mode: Pickups have been added to the gameplay aspect introduced in Burnout 2. They are strewn about the crossings. Some pickups will reduce your score by half, double, or quadruple it, produce tremendous explosions to deal even more damage or augment your damage with monetary benefits.
High-speed wrecks with incredible realism are possible because of sophisticated crash technology. Use your vehicle as a weapon to take down opponents, and use the new Aftertouch function to manage your vehicle after the collision.
There are 9 race modes, including Single Race, Tournament, Lap Eliminator, Burning Lap, and Road Rage.
Quick Line, Battle Race, Road Rage, and Party Crash are multiplayer modes in which 2-16 players compete in a pass-the-controller match-up.
You can race online with up to 6 other people in 7 different modes. Crash Mode, Single Race, Road Rage, and more modes let you battle through incoming traffic.
There are more than 70 vehicles in 12 distinct classes, including European exotics, American muscle cars, mid-size sedans, sports cars, compacts, buses, and semi-trucks.
There are around 40 tracks spanning three continents. Take on opponents in various locales and encounter dozens of traffic-filled crash junctions.
