A young man and his father have just moved into Long Life Town, a peculiar little community populated by even more bizarre people. In this place, he physically comes face to face with the girl of his dreams. On the other hand, she does not wish to have any contact with him. The young man’s objective is to enhance his standing among the many people who live in the town to the point where they will let him kiss them and to win the heart of the woman he has his sights set on by performing acts of charity for her.

An adventure game mainly focused on puzzle-solving, Chulip includes some light role-playing aspects. The player has complete freedom to go throughout the town, searching for answers regarding what to do next and how to do it. It is not as simple as it may appear to be to kiss people; the required actions to kiss a person range from simple ones like waiting for the ideal opportunity to more complex and branching problems like assisting someone in finding a job. Kissing people is not as simple as it may appear. The more individuals the hero kisses, the higher his heart meter goes, allowing the player to proceed through the game and tackle more complex tasks. The more people the hero kisses, the higher his heart meter goes.

If the protagonist chooses to interact with the town’s angry citizens, does something they find offensive, or inflicts harm on himself in many other ways, he will lose a heart. The game must be restarted when the player has lost all his heart or a previous save must be loaded. In addition to sleeping, eating, and performing specific actions, it is possible to regain seats. You can get money in the Underground by selling goods you find in the garbage or getting a “kiss” from one of the locals who only appear at particular times of the day. It may be put toward purchasing various products that may prove helpful to the player as they progress through the game and train tickets that will allow them to move to other places.

The game was developed by a group that had previously been a part of Love-de-Lic. It has many of the same aesthetic and gameplay-related characteristics as Moon: Remix RPG Adventure (including the overarching objective of making people happy, exotic characters, “gibberish” language with subtitles, day and night cycle, character schedules, etc.).
