EA’s arcade football series continues with NFL Street 2, the second installment. Players compete against one another to establish themselves as the best urban footballers in the world by demonstrating a variety of gravity-defying moves, such as up-the-wall passes, off-the-wall catches, and highlight-reel wall jukes.

The game is played with a limited number of players with a primary emphasis on arcade-style gameplay, just like most other titles in the Street series. In contrast to the first game, the walls can be utilized for run-up passes and receptions, as well as bonuses earned by shooting for posters and hotspots.

The players are licensed from the NFL rosters from 2004, and there are twelve different arenas in which players can compete (two of which are unlockable). The Xbox, PlayStation 2, and PSP versions all have multiplayer support. There are various game types available in single-player, such as the NFL Challenge, in which the player has 150 days to assemble a team to compete against a group of legends. Your advancement depends on achieving certain milestones at which you hone particular skills to prevail against good teams. When only five days are left, the squad competes in the championship tournament.

Another new feature is Own the City, in which players create a new character and compete in various street games to take control of the city. It is necessary to acquire new players by participating in pick-up games. Rapper Xzibit leads the last team you’ll need to defeat and has players from the NFL. It is possible to import characters developed in this mode into the NFL Challenge and the game.

A few cut scenes have been omitted from the PSP version, but otherwise, it is a faithful adaptation. In addition to the standard multiplayer modes, the PSP version also includes three new street modes for Wi-Fi multiplayer: Street Slalom (which is an obstacle course), Style Point Challenge, and Style Standoff, which is an end zone dancing contest similar to Space Channel 5. In the Party Play game types, such as the 2 Minute Challenge and the Jump Ball Challenge, a maximum of four players can compete against one another on a single PSP.
