Ivoire serves as the setting for the strategy role-playing game Phantom Brave, which is a tactical role-playing game. It used to be a tranquil place, but an ancient force is now threatening life in the diverse countries of Ivoire. Ivoire is made up of enormous seas and several islands. Marona, an orphaned girl 13 years old, will serve as the avatar you take control of throughout the game. Marona possesses the capacity to converse with phantoms, a talent that earns her a great deal of hostility from other people but will be of great use to her when she ventures out into the world to find solutions to the issues that are developing. Marona is protected by a phantom named Ash; as the story unfolds, other ghosts will join your party; each spirit possesses unique skills.

The game’s method of conflict resolution is based on a turn-based strategy. During combat, Marona can take on foes by herself and call upon phantoms that are part of her party to assist her. To call upon spirits, you must first contain them within an item on the screen (such as a rock or a tree). You can manage the phantom once it has been confined to an object; however, you can only do so for a certain number of turns after the ghost has been contained. The thing you bind a ghost to will affect its abilities; for instance, a rock may make a spirit more powerful but cause it to move more slowly. In combat, you gain experience points whenever you kill an opponent, which you can then use to advance in levels and improve your character’s stats.

The narrative of the game is told across a total of twenty episodes. Before moving on to the next episode, you must accomplish the one-of-a-kind objective presented in this one. During the breaks between episodes, you can visit your home on Phantom Island. Here, you can call upon other phantoms to join your party. When one first begins to summon spirits, they are limited to only a few sorts; but as one gains experience, additional types become accessible. You can also choose to enter a random dungeon or play through previously finished episodes to gain experience for your group and extra money to purchase goods.
