Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters is the first installment in the Ratchet & Clank franchise to be released on the PSP, and it is true to the console games in every manner. In this 3D action platformer, the team is drawn into a strange mission, and they quickly unearth a long-lost race of intelligent and inventive people known as the Technomites. These innovators intended to produce an entire army made out of clones.
Ratchet and Clank have access to a brand-new armory of upgradable weaponry and some fan-favorite weapons from previous games, such as the Agents of Doom, the Hypershot, and the Suck Cannon. The gameplay features an experience system reminiscent of RPGs that allows the player to purchase new mods, much like Up Your Arsenal. Additionally, Ratchet can amass various parts of armor sets. These can be worn in any combination, but having the whole group (helmet, gloves, boots, and suit) will grant you access to additional skills. Minigames like Ratchet’s hovercraft races, Giant Clank’s space wars, and Clank’s battle robot arenas are all thrown in with the platforming portions of the game.
Wi-Fi Ad Hoc or Infrastructure can be used to participate in multiplayer, and there are four different game types to choose from: DeathMatch, Team DeathMatch, Capture the Flag, and Iron Lombox Challenge. When playing the Iron Lombox Challenge game, players are tasked with accomplishing several objectives, such as loading cows into a massive meat truck or gathering power cells for the team.
