Rogue’s fellow soldiers were slaughtered due to a botched attack on Nu Earth caused by the betrayal of a general during the attack.

At the beginning of the game, Rogue and his companions are seen being dropped from a drop-ship. As a result of the information that the General had improperly disseminated, the Norts opened fire on them. Immediately after touching down, the first task is a tutorial that teaches you how to use Rogue’s abilities and the Bio-chips that Gunnar and then Bagman have given you. In a subsequent mission, you will obtain the third Bio-chip that belongs to Helm. The biochips are equipped with their unique talents. Rogue can employ Gunnar as a sentry as he flanks the enemy when he is attached to the side of his weapon. Gunnar is glued to the side of Rogue’s rifle. Bagman takes care of Rogue’s health and provides him with ammunition and upgrades for his equipment crafted from salvage they have collected along the route. Helm is required for Rogue to gain access to the computer consoles and control panels located in restricted places.

Rogue sneaks through the different levels, hoping to catch the Norts off guard with his killer moves. However, given the weaponry at his disposal, he can unleash hell and stand toe to toe with the adversary. In the final assignment, Rogue eventually catches up with the betrayal General, where he finds many Norts attempting to stop him.

The game is the same on all platforms; users can create as many profiles as they like. There is also a checkpoint save option, ensuring you won’t have to go too far back in the level if Rogue dies. There are three distinct difficulty levels, namely Normal, Hard, and Massacre, each of which, once completed, will enable the use of hacks. The Windows version requires both the keyboard (which can be customized) and the mouse to play, requiring the mouse to aim and fire. Both the Xbox and PS2 versions are the same. The left thumb stick is used for movement, the right thumb stick is used for seeking, and the right trigger/shoulder button is used for firing. The other buttons are used for additional activities, such as switching weapons or throwing grenades.

Multiplayer mode is accessible on each platform, and players can assume the roles of Rogue, Helm, Gunnar, or Bagman. Each of these characters has a unique set of skills. There are five Stronghold arenas and two Progressive arenas in all. On the Stronghold map, the objective will be to stave off waves of Norts for a specific period, and on the Progressive maps, the aim will be to make it to the point where the goal is located. The user’s highest scores will be saved alongside their profile.
