Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams is an updated version of the original game where players can extend their experiences with new content. For example, the game adds a short scenario called Born from a Wish, in which players control Maria. The game also has a sixth ending based on the choices of players. The core gameplay still remains when players will go through survival-horror levels. The protagonist explores Silent Hill and collects items. In addition, a radio becomes an important item when it helps warn her of nearby enemies. The fight with melee weapons or guns is available, but the main character isn’t strong. Therefore, the winning rate is low, so anyone can skip some unnecessary battles. Players also focus on solving logic puzzles.
