In the universe of Steambot Chronicles, which has a “steampunk” aesthetic, robots (called “trotmobiles”) have mostly supplanted vehicles as the primary form of transportation. On the edge of the ocean, the protagonist, an amnesiac kid with name Vanilla Bean, is discovered by the female Coriander. The first thing on his to-do list is purchasing one of those trotmobiles. After that point, various choices become available throughout the game.
You control a trotmobile as you travel across the open globe of the game, and you will occasionally face off against foes, most of which are mechanical. All of the fighting takes place in real-time. You’ll also travel to several locales and interact with various characters. Thanks to the branching dialogues, you can interact with different people in multiple ways. The game has a primary storyline, but in addition to that, there are other side stories and different game types. You could, for instance, convert your trotmobile into a bus and use it to transport passengers around. Play can also be done in various modes, such as a stock market game, a music and rhythm game, a dating simulation, and many more.
