You take on the role of Senel Coolidge, a young guy with white hair who feels strongly connected to his sister Shirley. When the two were out on the water one day, they suddenly came across what appeared to be a massive continent, and it was a gigantic ship known as Legacy, a relic from an ancient civilization. Shirley realizes there must be some sort of link between the culture of this new world and herself as she and Senel continue their exploration of the society of the new world. However, not long after that, Shirley is kidnapped, and Senel makes a solemn oath that she will find her and solve the mystery of the new world.
Like in all of the other “Tales Of…” games, the combat is fought entirely in real-time and takes place on a flat, two-dimensional plane; you will only have manual control over a single member in your group; the others will carry out their activities automatically per the chosen strategy. It is possible to mix multiple attacks to learn new ones, and it is also possible to cook up new products by employing recipes. Both of these things are achievable.
