WipEout Fusion is a racing video game with action elements that take place in the future. In the F9000 Anti-Gravity Race League, players compete against one another by driving hovercrafts and occasionally employing weapons against their adversaries to attain victory.

Much to WipEout 3, the game includes both a single-race mode and a league mode, in addition to split-screen gaming for two players. The single-race method known as “Arcade” is the one that must be completed to unlock new courses. The challenge mode from WipEout 64 has been brought back with some improvements. Each team has its own set of six challenges, each of which must be accomplished and awarded a medal before moving on to the next challenge. In the new Zone mode, players are tasked with completing as many laps as possible on a circuit while steadily increasing their vehicle’s pace.

The proton cannon, flamethrower, gravity bomb, super missiles, seismic field, and nitro rocket are some new weapons developed. There are a total of eight vehicles and teams that can participate in the challenge. These are Xios from Finland, Feisar from the European Consortium, Van Uber from Germany, Tigron from Russia, EG-R from China, G-tech from Japan, Auricom from North America, and Piranha from Brazil. When a team has finished a certain number of challenges in the Challenge mode, they are rewarded with a license for a special super weapon exclusive to their team.

Hovercraft upgrades are yet another brand-new addition to the Wipeout Fusion game. After each race, players are awarded points based on their performance, and these credits can improve a vehicle’s top speed, propulsion, weapon power, shield strength, lateral stability, and braking force. Every other game mode, except the Challenge mode, allows players to use their upgraded cars.
