FIFA Soccer 09 won 25 international gaming awards, and now FIFA Soccer 10 is the best-selling soccer game series from EA SPORTS. FIFA Soccer 10 improved on a game engine that was already very good by focusing on what fans cared most about when they played more than 275 million online games.

FIFA Soccer 10 is a more advanced version of the game with changes to the core gameplay based on responsiveness and intelligence, as well as a wholly redesigned Manager Mode with more than 50 significant improvements. With all these improvements and more, FIFA Soccer 10 sets a new standard for realism and continues to be the best soccer simulation in terms of new features and gameplay.

On the field, key gameplay elements have been improved to make FIFA Soccer 10 more like authentic soccer, with better ball control and more physical interaction. On offense, players now analyze space better, curve their runs to stay onside, make natural passing lanes, and drive to give themselves more ways to attack. On defense, new ideas like “position priority” let defenders do more than one thing at once to cover dangerous spaces left open by teammates who are out of position. Also, slide tackle targeting, press marking, and better urgency clearance logic give FIFA Soccer 10 players more ways to defend.

In FIFA Soccer 10, three new things change how players can control the game. The first-ever accurate 360° dribbling system gives players more control over the ball and lets them find spaces between defenders that were impossible before. Skilled dribblers can now face the defender and use responsive lateral dribbling to get around him, which is made possible by new animation technology. Freedom in Physical Play is an innovative idea that lets players make wider dribble touches. New collision sharing makes it harder to predict how the dribbler and defender will fight for possession.

The always-popular Manager Mode now has more than 50 significant improvements, such as more realistic matches, player transfers based on multiple decision points, and growth curves that match real life.

In the coming months, new game modes and changes to popular features like “Be a Pro” will be shown.

More responsive gameplay

Several game parts have been changed to make it easier to play. Heading and crossing have been made better, switching players are now more accessible, skill moves are now easier to do, players can now automatically avoid slide tackles in some situations, and quick free kicks have been added so the user can keep the pace of the game going. With the new collision avoidance system, players are less likely to get in the way of their teammates and cause them to crash into each other.

Improved goalkeepers

The goalkeeper AI has been made more intelligent, so keepers now make more realistic decisions and stop and deflect shots differently. In one-on-one situations, they are faster off the line and act like the rest of their team.

Styles of Each Team

With the new Team Styles, you’ll be able to change how you play based on your opponent. This will make the game more interesting by letting you take advantage of their weaknesses and build on your team’s strengths. Based on the real world, there are nine available attacking styles, five general defensive styles, and 13 special case teams with unique playing styles.

Scouting reports before a game

With tips from your manager, it’s even easier to learn how to play professional football correctly. Scout Reports will provide a pre-match scouting report to help plan your attack against every opponent, highlighting their team style and key players to watch out for and giving you tactical advice on beating them.
