Plot
In Spectral Souls: Resurrection of the Ethereal Empires, the story takes place in Neverland, a fantasy world where people and demons have been fighting for hundreds of years. The campaign starts a while after evil forces have won. An army of demons enjoys the spoils of victory by oppressing people and killing anyone who stands in their way.
Each time a village is burned down, people get angry and start to form a resistance movement. In the end, there is another war.
Mechanics
Spectral Souls: Resurrection of the Ethereal Empires is a mix of role-playing and strategy games. The player can lead one of three groups: Simba, a human resistance group; the army of the Demon Empire; or the Rozess Kingdom, which is trying to use the war to regain its independence. Each side has its characters and stories.
The map of the kingdom is an essential part of the game, and we use it to decide which missions to start, most of which are about fights. Of course, there are also traditional RPG parts where we explore places and talk to people.
As you might expect from a tactical RPG, we spend most of our time-fighting. During them, we are in charge of a small team of heroes and fight by taking turns. There are 84 characters to choose from between the three armies, and each has a different history, set of skills, and plan for growth.
