The Unholy War is an adventure action game developed by Toys for Bob and released by Eidos Interactive for PlayStation in 1998. The game includes 2 modes for players to choose: Mayhem Mode and Strategy Mode. In Mayhem Mode, players will battle 1 vs 1 with other characters in the game. In Strategy Mode, players will have to fight and destroy many enemies appearing on the maps available in the game.
The game tells the story of a distant planet called Xsarra. On this planet, there are two powerful forces that are opposing each other: the power of the Arcanes and the power of the Teknos. The cause of the war was that the Teknos had come to the planet Xsarra to exploit its resources. Teknos ships landed on the planet Xsarra to hide from hunters. They thought that the planet’s atmosphere had special radiation that would hide their ships from hunters’ detection equipment. After discovering this planet, they realize there are many Aur. With this type of compound, Teknos will be able to face and attack the hunter. For this reason, they stayed on the planet Xsarra and exploited all Aur has here. However, they faced fierce resistance from the Arcanes. The indigenous people of the planet Xsarra formed an army to resist the Teknos invasion. They broke out in a war and lasted for more than 20 years. The player’s mission will be to end the war to protect the peace of the planet Xsarra.
Among the characters of the game, each character has three attack moves. On the battlefield there will be countless dangers that players will face. Characters can also increase their power or move instantly thanks to the equipment present scattered throughout the battlefield. However, each character will have its own strengths and weaknesses. Players will have to move adjacent Hex units and confirm an attack to attack the army of enemies. The battle will end when one side has surrendered or all of their offensive units have been annihilated in battle. In the middle of each battle, an observer will appear. This observer will provide information to the player to guide you to win easily.
