Doctor Doom and Dormammu, two well-known Marvel villains, banded up with a slew of other Marvel villains to attack the Capcom universe – but when they met the nefarious Albert Wesker of the Resident Evil series, they decided to merge their two Earths into one. However, such a plan piqued the interest of Galactus, the infamous Devourer of Worlds. Sensing a disaster on the horizon, he devised his plan to destroy both worlds. The best characters from the Marvel and Capcom universes, heroes and villains, must work together to fight this approaching menace before everything is lost!
Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds is a fighting game featuring various Marvel and Capcom characters. They are split evenly between Marvel and Capcom characters, and the roster includes well-known personalities such as Captain America, Dante, Deadpool, Phoenix, and many more. There are two modes in the game: online and offline. In the latter, players can compete against the computer (in Arcade or Versus) or a friend locally, as well as complete tasks to master the move sets of the characters. Players can battle online friends and random strangers in the online mode, as well as exclusive special events. In Arcade mode, a three-person squad of the player’s choosing fights through six battles to reach the ultimate confrontation with Galactus. If Galactus is defeated, the player is given the ending of the character who dealt the fatal blow. Each character’s finish gives their reasons and aids in unlocking the many bonuses available in this game.
