– This is an old game from 1996, not to be confused with AREA-51 from 2005
– The game runs with dgVoodoo in 4:3 aspect ration with a capped framerate of 60FPS
– Tested OK on Windows 10 & XP
WARNING: Do NOT change the installation path! For example, the game MUST be installed like this: C:\Area51, you can change the drive letter but NOT the path (not even putting a space between “Area” and “51”)! Because the game is hardcoded for a specific installation path and installing it to your fancy “D:\Games” will not work (BTW this D drive letter should be for optical drives and not your games collection)
In the installation page only the drive letter will be visible but the game will be installed to the Area51 folder. The game folder will be installed as a hidden system folder so that it won’t be shown with explorer
