Steps to play online if you install the component:
1. Go to the gamedir where this repack is installed
2. Execute BF2KeyMan.exe as administrator
3. Click on ‘Random’ to generate random keys, then press the ‘Apply’ button and close the key manager
4. Optionally install the PunkBuster service by executing pbsvc.exe as administrator
(Some servers require it while others don’t, it’s up to you)
5. Play online! You can also open the BF2Hub application to see more info and more options
– WARNING: Upon installation you will be asked to choose your monitor refresh rate. It is very important that you choose your correct monitor refresh rate or the game will crash at startup
You can choose between 60Hz, 75Hz, 144Hz, 165Hz and 240Hz
If your refresh rate is not specified, after the installation has finished, go to ‘\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default’ and open the file “Video.con” with Notepad
You will see the default resolution of 800×600 and next to it the selected refresh rate. Change the refresh rate to your correct one and save the file

Potential resolved issues:
Game crashes when entering a game – Multiple input audio devices can lead to crash when entering a game. Remove all input devices like Bluetooth headsets the one
Black terrain and/or models, objects, black spots on map, other visual graphics issues – Set “Terrain” quality to low
X-Fi related sound issues or crashes using a Creative X-Fi sound card – Reduce sound quality to high or change it to hardware mode
Game crashes often – Right-click bf2.exe, click options > compatibility tab, run the game with ‘Disable Desktop Composition’
Mouse skipping/stutter – Battlefield 2 suffers from mouse skipping and acceleration when standing still and looking left/right. Skipping will not occur if moving forwards/backwards but will when strafing left/right
