– Verok’s GL wrapper & patch v1.74 is applied (full installation)
– If you get a System Locale/Language Check Failed error, then probably your Windows is configured in another language for non-unicode programs and you need to set it to English (US) (change system locale)
To do that, execute intl.cpl in start menu search bar or Run menu, once the window is opened, click on the Administrative tab and change the last option to “English (United States)” and reboot your computer
– If the game crashes when loading a save or after playing the introduction cutscene, then you need to disable Data Execution Prevention for KAIN.exe
1. In the start menu search bar or Run command, execute the following: systempropertiesdataexecutionprevention.exe
2. When the window opens, click on “Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select:”, then press “Add…”, then go to the game’s path and add KAIN.exe to the list.
