– The game runs with DDrawCompat v0.5.1 on Windows 7 and newer, if for you it starts to a black window and the mouse cursor is locked within that black window, go to gamedir and delete ddraw.dll
This DDrawCompat was put there to solve the Alt key crashing issue on some systems but there is no universal solution at the moment. It works for some people, it doesn’t work for others
Also changing the camera to ‘Map View’ will crash the game no matter what, doesn’t matter what compatibility settings you apply, those early flight simulators from Micro$haft are very problematic, so don’t blame me for that
– Uses a fixed executable with joystick support (supposedly, untested)
One last thing, some people recommend that this game should be played in 16bit color mode, during testing it didn’t make any difference here
