– Patch v1.03
– KotOR Community Patch v1.10
– Widescreen support for the following resolutions: 1360×768, 1366×768, 1920×1080, 2560×1440 & 3840×2160 (with extra fixes on some of them)
WARNING: On some resolutions the text might appear small! Because no fixes for that particular resolution could be found (3840×2160)
WARNING #2: During installation make sure to select your correct monitor’s refresh rate! Otherwise the game will run in a window and you can’t make it fullscreen
If you can’t find your refresh rate, choose any option and then edit it in gamedir\swkotor.ini with Notepad and change the RefreshRate= under [Graphics Options] section
Also choosing any custom resolution during installation will also install 1080p upscaled videos
– EAX support
– Cutscene bug with Saul Karath on Leviathan fix (Don’t forget to open the hangar doors at the computer on the bridge)
– Extracted/converted audio files to MP3 which can be found in the gamedir (those mp3s aren’t needed for the game to work they were just made to work on audio players)
– Vista/7 crash fix on startup
– Includes Xpadder profiles for KotOR 1 as well as the program itself in the gamedir
WARNING!! If you have Bandicam running in the background the game might crash after starting a new game!
If your monitor has higher refresh rate than 60Hz then obviously you already installed the repack with your current refresh rate, HOWEVER the game needs to be framecapped to 60FPS!
Use your graphics card’s control panel to do that (no, it’s impossible to use dgVoodoo since this game is OpenGL 1.4 and no, unless your monitor is 60Hz you cannot framecap it in the swkotor.ini file because the game will be windowed)
Potential resolved issues:
– Game crashes when using AMD graphics and old Catalyst driver – In the gamedir open swkotor.ini with Notepad and change Frame Buffer=1 to Frame Buffer=0 under the [Graphics Options] section. This negatively affects image quality
– Unable to move your character after combat
1. Hold down both the right and the left mouse button.
2. Press the quicksave button and keep both mouse buttons pressed during the whole saving process.
3. Once the saving process is completed your can release both mouse buttons. The character should control normally again.
If you encounter recurring issues with being unable to move your character, limiting your frame rate to 60 will greatly reduce the frequency of this problem and often resolves the problem completely
– Game minimizes after escaping Taris and refuses to maximize again – Change FullScreen=1 to FullScreen=0 in gamedir\swkotor.ini
– Crashes when opening detention cells and activating lift – The game can sometimes crash in two places. In the level “Prison Block”, aboard the Leviathan, the game can crash when opening the detention cells (which hold the rest of your characters) and when activating the lift to go up to the bridge. Both of these crashes are fixed by rebooting your computer. Alternatively, changing the resolution to 800×600 may help if a reboot is unsuccessful. Disabling mouselook may also work. Changing the group leader may also work.
– Crash after a shooting sequence – Leviathan level – The game can also crash right after a shooting sequence right after the Leviathan level. This can be easily fixed by entering the door that leads to the hangar as the protagonist.
– Black Screen While Playing Cutscenes – Alt+Tab out of and back into the game
– Random dialogue skipping – The game starts randomly skipping cutscenes and dialogue lines after you play for several hours uninterrupted, seemingly because of a memory leak. – Save and restart the game
