It’s been five years since the Metropia region was freed from the tyranny of the villainous Mr. Apocalypse by the reigning champion Pokeman. The citizens have slowly adapted to a new era led by the Pokeheroes, Pokémon trainers who dedicate their efforts to protecting the citizens.

However, absolute peace is still far away, as many trainers known as Pokevillains remain in the shadows waiting for the right moment to take over the region again, notably Team Kaiser, formed by Mr. Apocalypse’s followers who remained in the region after his exile.
