Features
- Lots of secondary characters: You start the game with your 7 classmates and your teacher, who all have their own designs, and you’ll meet more characters with backgrounds, both good and evil.
- Adoption: You won’t go to the teacher’s laboratory to get your first Pokémon. You’ll go with your class to the next town, where they have a garden full of Pokémon ready to be adopted.
- Classes: You’ll have to go to school in the mornings.
- Secondary missions: There are several events that have no relation to the main plot.
- Own time: The game has its own time, it doesn’t take the time from your computer’s settings.
- Train trips: You’ll visit many places in the region, but some are too far to walk. Get on the train! (Remember to buy the ticket before, otherwise you won’t be able to travel).
- Mounts: There are places that you can’t even access by train or boat. To get there you’ll have to go on some routes where a mount will be mandatory, so you can enjoy the new routes in a very different way.
- Institute Rules: Pokémon must be raised with love and honesty. As if they were your own family. That’s why collecting them as if they were objects and locking them in a computer is frowned upon.
- You can only catch 6 Pokémon.
- You can’t access the PC.
- There are no legendaries, but there are special Pokémon.
- Liberation Script: Since you can only have 6 Pokémon in your team and 0 in the PC, when you get a new Pokémon with 6 in your team, it asks you if you want to replace this new Pokémon with another one from your team. A difficult decision.
History
You are now 16 years old and yes, exactly, your application has been accepted. Soon your adventure begins by attending the Grand Star Institute, one of the best Pokémon institutes in the region.
Thanks to the institute and your teacher, Prof. Jasmine, you will be able to adopt your first Pokémon at the Pokémon Shelter. An organization that is dedicated to helping wild Pokémon in danger, abandoned by their trainers, and even eggs that have been left without parents to take care of them.
The Grand Star Institute may seem harsh due to its rules, but if you think about it, it all makes sense. Pokémon must be raised with love and honesty. As if they were your own family. That is why collecting them as if they were objects and locking them in a computer is frowned upon. The institute will teach you how to have a reliable and friendly team, which is why it is not allowed to have more than 6 Pokémon. They themselves will provide you with Instiballs, pokeballs specific to the institute.
The institute will test you to become a good trainer by learning about pokemon, types, survival in real routes,… don’t underestimate the institute’s budget. After each test, you will get a badge, which will help make your adventure easier (you may fail to get some badges so think twice before continuing).
Last but not least, one thing you should know. Don’t use the PC. If you do, you will be banned.
