Pokémon Solar Light & Lunar Dark is a fangame made by Watertrainer (Story, Spriting) and Chai-Tao (Eventing, Scripting) with RPG Maker XP and Pokémon Essentials. It follow the trends set up by previous games in the series. Two player characters (Cole and Ella) travel a new region, Rikoto, during their initiatory Pokémon journey. This region is inhabited by various selfmade Pokémon, and like in BW, none of those available prior to Generation WTI can be obtained before defeating the Elite Four.
Story:
In the region of Rikoto, two villainous groups exist: Team Solar and Team Lunar. Both groups are drawn to Rikoto’s five temples, but they have opposing goals. Team Solar seeks to awaken and control the legendary Order Pokémon, Solaran, in order to defeat Lunaro, the legendary Chaos Pokémon. Their actions could upset the balance of the world and bring about natural disasters that would ultimately lead to the end of the world. On the other hand, Team Lunar’s aim is to unleash chaos by reintroducing Lunaro into the universe.
